Vaginal Dryness Treatment

in Birmingham

Vaginal dryness is a very common problem most women experience at least once in their lives due to a variety of factors. Up to 60 percent of menopausal women experience vaginal dryness, but only up to a quarter actually seek help or treatment.

Vaginal atrophy is a common condition referring to the vaginal walls becoming drier, thinner and inflamed. Even though it can be uncomfortable and embarrassing to experience, it really is nothing to worry about with advanced treatments available at our Birmingham Clinic.

Our experienced gynaecological specialist will instantly put you at ease in your private consultation, where you can discuss your personal needs. At the health clinic, we will find the best course of treatment for you as an individual, which will change your life for the better.

Combat vaginal Dryness and vaginal atrophy with the latest advanced technology

Edgbaston Wellness Vaginal Atrophy Treatment

Vaginal dryness can have a real impact on a woman’s physical and mental wellbeing. Many factors cause women to experience symptoms of vaginal dryness which can feel itchy, burn when urinating, cause UTI’s, pain during sex, soreness and stinging

A common cause is ageing and experiencing the menopause, as when our estrogen levels decline, vaginal dryness can happen. Our lifestyle factors which can lead to vaginal dryness are childbirth, breastfeeding, stress, depression, smoking, vigorous exercise, immune disorders and cancer treatment.

At the Edgbaston Wellness & MediSpa, we use the latest advanced technology, including the administration of bioidentical hormones and laser treatments. Both of these methods are non-invasive and rejuvenate the lining of the vaginal wall, so you will no longer feel discomfort.

With these treatments targeted to your individual needs, you will no longer experience your current symptoms and enjoy a much improved sensation during sexual intercourse for both partners.

WHAT ARE BIOIDENTICAL HORMONES

Bioidentical hormones mimic the natural hormones produced in the body, essential to the lubrication and healthy function of the vagina. Our experienced gynaecological specialist will be able to explain which treatment you may need and administer the correct dosage for your situation. As vaginal atrophy or vaginal dryness can be caused when the hormone estrogen lessens, these bioidentical hormones can combat this issue for your vaginal rejuvenation.

Estriol is an example of a bioidentical hormone produced in the body, sometimes called ‘’the forgotten estrogen’’. Estirol ‘’plumps up’’ the delicate tissue surrounding the vagina, reducing dryness and irritation. The gynaecologist will administer the correct dosage for your needs to combat the dryness, so you can feel relief and no more itchiness.

Book your appointment at our Edgbaston Clinic in Birmingham and experience life-changing results for non-invasive, pain-free vaginal rejuvenation.

HOW CAN LASER TREATMENT COMBAT VAGINAL DRYNESS OR VAGINAL ATROPHY

Edgbaston Wellness Vaginal Atrophy Treatment

Laser treatment is a non-invasive, pain-free and advanced way to effectively treat vaginal dryness and vaginal atrophy. No anaesthesia is needed and can be quickly done within your lunch break, so you can return to your daily activities straight away. As estrogen hormones are not suitable for everyone, vaginal rejuvenation through a course of a few treatments may be the best option.

During the treatment, a small rod is gently inserted into the vagina for just ten minutes. The laser creates small holes in the vaginal lining which stimulate new blood flow and tissue growth for a healthy, lubricated vaginal wall. You will barely feel a thing and the treatment is over very quickly, making it a highly efficient treatment. You don’t need to prepare for your laser treatment and most people only need two sessions.

At the Edgbaston Wellness & Medispa we use state-of-the-art technology with the FemiLift method by Alma. The FemiLift method provides optimum, safe and non-invasive results for feminine wellness concerns. The FDA approved device has been used and trusted by dermatologists and laser therapists for many years.

Very friendly staff with a wide range and treatments, and the knowledge of how to apply those treatments. Very relaxed atmosphere, where you can discuss (without pressure) what you would like to enhance, about the way you look. They've altered my life and how I feel about myself in a very short time. I had no idea that I could alter (without surgery) my physical shape. This seemed to happen almost magically while we were chatting through the totally painless procedure. I'm very happy that I found you guys at Medispa, many thanks

I have been visiting EF Medispa, Edgbaston for a few months now and I can honestly say it has so far been a very positive experience. The team are so friendly and welcoming, you are always greeted with big warm smiles. I initially had my consultation with Sarah, who was lovely and very knowledgeable. She explained the whole procedure to me before treatments commenced. I also cannot speak highly enough of Kelly who has been carrying out my treatments. She always makes me feel at ease, from the very start she has walked me through the process of the whole procedure, answers all my questions and tells me what the benefits are. I would highly recommend coming to EF Medispa, Edgbaston, it is a spotless and pristine clinic and not only that, you will be well looked after by all the professional, friendly and welcoming staff from the moment you walk through the door.

I have been going to Ef Medispa for a couple of months now for ongoing treatments and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Not only can I see mass amount of improvements, I’ve created such a friendship with the staff. I walked in feeling under confident and insecure, however, Beth and Sarah have both made my self esteem higher than ever. Can’t thank them enough, going here is more like a catchup with friends!
