This is why we are proud to offer our tattoo removal treatments in Birmingham.
Why Use Our Tattoo Removal Service?
There are many reasons why people may want to have a tattoo removed.
Perhaps the tattoo represents a past relationship that has now come to an end. Alternatively, your tastes may have changed over time and you just want rid of your ink.
Not all tattooists offer the same quality, and it is understandable to want a tattoo removed if you just plainly and simply don’t like the way it appears aesthetically.
Whatever your reason for no longer wanting your tattoo, we understand the impact it can have on your happiness. We also see how beneficial it can be for those who undertake tattoo removal laser treatment.
How Does Laser Tattoo Removal Work?
Our tattoo removal treatment works on the foundation of breaking down tattoo pigments using Q-switched lasers from Alma lasers.
We use various types of Q-switched lasers to target different colours of tattoo ink, depending on the light absorption spectra of the tattoo pigments.
We can typically remove black and other dark-coloured inks completely using Q-switched lasers, however, lighter coloured tattoo inks, such as yellows and greens can still be very difficult to remove.
How successful your tattoo removal treatment is will depend on a variety of factors, including your skin colour and the tattoo ink colour, as well as the depth of the tattoo ink.
How Long Do Treatments Take?
Treatment time depends on the scale of the tattoo you wish to have removed. Laser tattoo removal can take anywhere between 10 minutes and half an hour per session.
Another factor to consider is the number of sessions you will need in order to achieve your desired results.
The full number of sessions needed differs greatly depending on various factors, such as ink colour and the depth of your tattoo. Also, if you’re only planning on having your tattoo faded enough to be covered over with new ink, you may not need as many sessions either.
A consultation is needed to determine a rough figure for how long you can expect your tattoo removal treatment to take.
Is the Removal Permanent?
Yes, once you have received your laser tattoo removal treatment, your tattoo will be gone for good.
This should provide a good level of peace-of-mind.
We understand that there are reasons for you wanting your tattoo removed. We are glad to say that our laser treatment will allow more than just a temporary answer to your problem.
Is Tattoo Removal Painful?
As you might expect, there is some level of discomfort reported from recipients of laser treatments. However, our clients often report that the treatment is not nearly as painful as they expected.
If you find the process of having a tattoo applied bearable, then you should definitely find the removal process bearable too.
Will the Lasers Leave Scars?
No. Our Q-Switched lasers won’t scar your skin.
It is important to note that many tattoo applications lead to scarring of the skin. The lasers will not be able to remove any scarring associated with the original application of your tattoo.
It is also important that you follow the correct aftercare procedures, in order to refrain from causing scarring thereafter.
