PRP Hair Restoration
Our blood is made of two main components – red blood cells and plasma. he says. The plasma contains white blood cells and platelets, which are rich in growth factors.
Growth factors, in a way, transfer signals to our skin cells to function, and have been used in medicine to treat a range of health issues, including arthritis and signs of aging. They can also help stimulate the activity of the hair follicles and promote new hair growth.
PRP is gaining popularity by achieving such medical successes as tissue regeneration, wound healing, scar revision, skin rejuvenating and also alopecia and hair loss. PRP is a great treatment option for hair loss – it is scientifically proven to increase hair count, thickness and growth.
It is a meticulous process, beginning with a standard blood draw from the patient’s arm. A centrifuge then spins the blood tube to separate out the red blood cells from the plasma. The plasma is then injected directly into the scalp at the level of the hair follicles. Injecting PRP into the scalp stimulates the stem cells in the hair root to rejuvenate hair follicles that may have otherwise stopped producing new hair. The result is growth of baby hairs, strengthening of the existing hairs and thickening them.
The injections begin across the scalp, approximately at every half inch over the area of thinning hair — but typically, the entire procedure takes less than a half hour.
FAQ: PRP Hair Restoration
Depending on the extent of your hair loss and hair density, you should observe an improvement in how much hair you shred in the first month. The results will be gradual and around 3 to 6 months is needed to observe significant difference. Multiple treatments may be required depending on the effect you are trying to achieve.
The treatment is unlikely to work on somebody who is in final stages of hair loss. If you are noticing something and/or regression in your hair line, the treatment is likely to be very successful. The treatment works for majority of people, but individual assessment of suitability is highly advisable.
Our scalp is rich in nerves and therefore the treatment is a little uncomfortable as multiple injections may be required depending on the extent of the area requiring treatment. However, we aim to complete the treatment as quickly as possible and it should not last longer than a couple of minutes.
You may continue to experience topical pain in your scalp for a day or so after the treatment, but this can be addressed by over-the counter pain management medication. It is advisable not to wash your hair for 24 hours after the treatment and not to engage in aggressive head-contact sports for 48 hours.
You may notice an improvement in quality and shine of your hair a couple of days after the treatment, as well as reduced hair shedding. The growth of new, baby hairs will be noticeable within 1 to 3 months after the treatment. The result is not going to be as dramatic as that can be achieved by having a hair transplant; however, the density and quality of your hair will be improved greatly, particular with repeated sessions, delivering a natural, organic result.
In theory, yes – however, the new baby hairs will take a while to grow and thus the process may require patience on your part whilst the hair grows long enough.

FAQ: Laser Hair Removal
How does laser hair removal feel?
You may feel a warm sensation or slight prickling when the laser is passed over bony areas. Generally patients find the treatment not only completely pain free but also very relaxing.
How may sessions will I need to achieve completely smooth complexion?
You will notice results after the third treatment and then after six treatments you can expect to see around 90% reduction in hair growth. Results will vary depending on hair type as well as site, colour, phase of hair growth, hormonal influences and natural skin colour, among other aspects. Most of our patients report that after 6 sessions, hair on the treated areas has effectively disappeared with no re-growth.
Do I have to stop shaving or waxing prior to the treatment?
You need to avoid waxing and dying the hair in the areas you wish to have treatment. However, you should shave prior to treatment. Some stubble leaving exposed hair tips can make the area heat much quicker. Our practitioners whilst using Soprano mostly utilize the “in motion” technique. If the treatment area is not shaved , the sweeping motion of the applicator over the skin might not feel as comfortable as it should.
Will laser hair removal work on intimate areas?
Almost any area is treatable, to include back, legs, chest, underarms, face and genitals. Regardless of skin type, you can enjoy a safe and proven treatment and enjoy permanent reduction of hair and smooth skin that lasts.
